Welcome to Room 404’s first attempt at a web page.  We are very excited to be up and running and hope to update monthly with news of our classroom.

In Social Studies we have begun the unit on Native Americans.  We will study California Indians  belonging to one of four geographical groups:  Northern Coastal, Central Valley and Mountain, Southern Coastal, and Desert. 

We are in Theme 4 in Language Arts which is Animal Habitats.  How serendipitous that two hamsters of unknown origin landed on the Will Rogers playground just in time to be our classroom pets during this unit.  We have named them Will and Rogers and I am pleased to say they seem to be thriving.   Our next science unit is animal adaptations which will align very nicely with animal habitats.

In math we are working hard on multiplication.  Every Friday the students will be given a one minute timed test on the multiplication facts.  In the Monday homework folder you will find the numbers they will be tested on.  Please help them to study the facts for these tests.
